Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun. Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air. Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them...right?

There is moments where you find yourself in a reading slump and sometimes it takes that one book to pull you out. Although, sometimes, it is that one author and for me it is two, Christina Lauren. There is no doubt that whenever I find myself putting a book down without finishing it that these two women can pull me out.

In this contemporary novel we follow, in alternating chapters, Josh and Hazel through awkward meet ups about boobs, unintentionally becoming roommates, setting each other up with dates and slowly falling in love. Two people, two different personalities, one love.

Josh seemed to be that perfect well-rounded guy who has the career, has the girl, a great family, but  there  was something missing and unfortunately it takes a rotten discovery for him to take that first step. On the other hand, Hazel is this woman with an out of this world personality, crazy humor and me constantly thinking of Zooey Deschanel and her portrayal in New Girl.

This novel was just a simple, light romantic comedy story that made you feel all kinds of  emotions and left a lasting mark when turning the last page. Right now it is hard to really describe but the best thing I could think of is this warm feeling that fills your inside and allows you to feel comfort while reading.

Christina Lauren have definitely hit it out of the ball park again and it just makes me wonder why I have not been inclined to read more of their books. Maybe this is that book to push me to do so. In a beautiful story that made me smile, laugh, get watery eyes, and fall in love all within a single read Christina Lauren are the authors to read and I know I am currently looking for my next read for them this instant.

I give this book 5 souls!
