This groundbreaking new middle grade series follows DC Comics' most iconic female Super Heroes and Super-Villains . . . as high schoolers. At Super Hero High, the galaxy's most powerful teens nurture their powers and master the fundamentals of what it means to be a hero.

I first heard of this upcoming series in one of my class discussion posts, as random as that may sound, but I was super excited when hearing this though. I was happy to hear that the female heroes of the DC World were finally getting the spot light. Was super excited when turning the first page and was not disappointed when reaching the end.

We follow Wonder Woman, or Wondy for short, throughout this first installment as she pleads a case to her mom in allowing her to attend Super Hero High. After winning her case she packs her bag and leaves her island and enters a world full of many wonders and heroes. However, not everything seems to click right away for Wonder Woman as she must work alongside her friends and learn how to be a hero.

Wonder Woman was just a good character. She was funny, she made mistakes, she had these goofy moments but overall she was just a genuine person. She wanted to be the best she could be and I felt that she was not trying to prove her best to herself but to her mom and the rest of the school. She has some amazing friends that help make the best out of worse situations.

I loved how Lisa Yee brought a new look on what we have grown up to know as the villains and how she has given them a backstory that shows that they were or are heroes. Lisa writes to a younger age perfectly but that shouldn’t stop you from picking up this book.

Overall this was an amazing first installment to a series I am excited to continue and see where more of the DC female heroes. If you are looking for a book that will lift you up, make you laugh, and put a smile on your face, this is the book for you.

I give this book 4 souls!
