Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden. If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome. But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed. Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

So when I say that I have been so hooked on this series that it has only been two days and I am now starting the third book. There are only so many books from a series that could make me do this to myself and well Jennifer Armentrout has earned a spot in the crazy spot of mine. Not that it is bad...or is it?

Deity was just a full out adventure for me. And when people say shit hit the fan in this book, well that is exactly what happened. And to make things more interesting lets set the shit on fire to make my point more vivid.

Jennifer just keeps amazing me with every book, when you hope that an author improves from one book to the next, well Jennifer is the prime example of how to do this. Her writing for me was perfect, the story had me hooked from the beginning to the end, and the characters well let me tell you what I think about that.

Alex is still the kick-ass heroine that we all love but now that her powers are growing more and more dangers are lying in the dark waiting for her. With this new power also comes more responsibility and she is put to the test more about whether she will follow Fate or her heart. Aiden is still Mr. Sexy we all love and adore and even though we do not get enough of him as we want, we can see how far he will go to make sure that Alex is safe. He is by far my favorite...just saying. Now Seth, well he is a psycho. He needs to get hit in the face with something so some sense can be knocked back into him. That is all I have to say about him.

Jennifer knows how to write a love triangle and Deity is the perfect to read to get this in full action. Who will Alex choose? I am sure you all know who I would pick but who would you pick?

Overall this was I needed to have over my holidays and I am glad I listened to my friend Ana who told me to read this. I am excited to see how it plays out but in all honesty I am so excited to know that there is a novella next that is in Aiden's POV!!!!! Feel my excitement people.

Happy Reading!
